Prayer is:

1. Communion with God

2. Not directing God

3. A reminder of who God is:

• Hallowed (sanctify) be your name --> God is Holy and eliminates evil
• Let your kingdom come --> God affects perfection
• Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven --> God is sovereign

4. A reminder of who we are:
• Give us our daily bread --> We are dependent and needy
• Forgive our sin as we have forgiven others --> We cannot produce perfect relationships
• Do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from Evil --> We are prone toward evil
