To be alone with Him must be our greatest treasure if we are to say Christ is our greatest treasure. 

One of the hardest things for us to do in our society is to get silent. But it is very important if we are to hear the still small voice of God which brings healing and peace to our souls. 

There are benefits or gifts that God wants to impart to us when we go through the wilderness. But we’re recipients of these gifts only if we choose to suffer well. The question is, are we going to receive them with humility or reject them with complaining. 

God allows us to go through suffering because we love our idols too much and love Him too little. Into the wilderness, God has a way of being efficient in fixing the reordering of loves in our hearts.

It would serve us well to remember who satisfies us, who protects us, and who makes us great as we go through suffering
